About Zipeg…

Edit: Zipeg may or may not be bad. I recommend PeaZip instead.

So, I was cleaning out the old software that I don’t use anymore, and I realized that Zipeg wouldn’t uninstall. Huh?

It kept telling me that there was an error with uni29.tmp… When I checked it out, and deleted the .tmp, I tried again. Zipeg wouldn’t uninstall, uni29.tmp was back.

So, I looked it up. Apparently, Zipeg is bad. I didn’t use Prevx (The remover at that site) because I wasn’t sure about the fine print of it, but I did search Zipeg in my computer and deleted everything I found. After that, it uninstalled.

Sorry for that!

Here is a little tip I do before I blog about something or even use it Tryed to find out as much as i can about the dev or the company that made the product I also surf the net for reviews
from other users of that product to see if theres problems with
    it or if it’s a virus ect…

  3. … Yeah. Zipeg was one of my earlier reviews, so I didn’t know to do all of the research, etc, that I do now.

  4. Hey guys. There is support form on Zipeg website. You could have asked. Zipeg does UNINSTALL. Go to Start / Settings / Control Panel / Add Remove Programs, select Zipeg (usually at the very bottom of the list) and click Remove. If you have problems with this write to support at zipeg dot com I will try to help you with it.

PS: Before uninstalling any file handling utility it is good idea to deassociate it from all file types it used to handle.
